Here’s a brief summary of our beliefs, all of which are based in Bible teaching—

We believe …

…in one God revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

 

…that the Bible is inspired by God and contains the truth needed for faith and Christian life

 

…that we are born with a fallen nature, inclined to self-centeredness, and needing God’s life-changing grace

 

…that Christ’s death on the cross provides forgiveness and new life for anyone who believes in Him.

 

…that those who receive Him will live forever with Him in heaven when they die

 

…that while here on earth we are to give ourselves fully to God and, by His grace, live for Him

 

…that the Holy Spirit gives us an assurance that we are God’s children

South Carroll Church of the Nazarene, as part of the larger Nazarene denomination, shares the doctrine described in the "Articles of Faith" found in our denominational constitution called the Manual. The Articles of Faith are a technical description of our beliefs based on scripture.
